    Hi folks,

Im a new member here and have recently bought a 2002 E46 330ci Coupe. My previous car was a 200bhp Toyota Starlet, so im loving havnig a RWD car again! I love it too bits, its soo much fun, so comforatable and effortless to drive.

However, im a man who is bored easily and likes a little more performance out my cars and was wondering what people on here do to increase the performance of their 330's?

My 330ci has already had a one off REMAP from a specialist which has increased power to around 275bhp with similar torque.

Im not willing to go down the forced induction route (ie. TURBOCHARGER AND SUPERCHARGER) just yet.

Bigger throttle boddies or uprated exhaust and induction of any good gains?

Thanks for you help and info guys!

    Michael.

275 bhp? Most people suggest 231 bhp going to 248 bhp or so......275 sounds very interesting, can you tell us more?

yeah, hate to piss on your parade mate but there is no way in hell you'll see 44bhp gains on a standard N/A engine, and thats assuming that its making 231 to start, most 330's dont.

A free flowing exhaust and a replacement panel filter are your best bet if you dont want to look down the s/c or turbo charged route. Anything more than that is going to cost big bucks.

I thought it was a little over 240bhp standard. And yes a one of map by a specialist say a 30bhp increase.

My maths will be slightly out, however. Got a K&N Panel Filter today and noticed a difference. Going to uprate exhaust (decat) soon and possible think about a supercharger kit.

I do love her though, what a machine.

So basically, N/A tuning on these engines are very limited?

    Thanks for help folks!

Agree with mr gap there, very little extra gains on the 330, de-cat will show an improvement but it will fail the mot and if your unlucky enough to get pulled then it'll fail on emmisions, only other way is supercharger or sell and buy an M3. Personally I love my 330, no it's not in the performance grouping of the M's but also it's not in the over priced insurance and service cost group of the M's
