I was browsing and found this link http://tuning-diesels.com/BMW/bmw.htm

I'm not familiar with diesel tuning but I would be interested to know more.

I would also like to know more about the EGR bypass as stated in the link

This should get a few brains ticking

I was up at 6am and was bored as nobody else was posting. I started browsing for a laugh.

I'd like to build a diesel monster and get rid of the Zafira cos it's sheet

The first link wouldn't work with your diesel engine/fuel system.
The second link,EGR bypass I doubt would bolt up as it's for Land Rover.
    Third link, ouch,how much!
4th link. the guy sells the "fan" turbo/superchargers that you put in your induction pipe .
The 5th link, drift works car has a MIG diff! , In other words welded up

Hey... it's all ideas and the first tuners I found. There is surely someone on this forum that knows more about diesel tuning. If not then we need to find out to help our Derv owners. At least we have the perfect guinney pig car

One problem with tuning the m51 diesel lump is they easily crack the heads if you get the temp up too high, so big turbos/pressure are a no no
