    Good few posts here !

Always ask what your getting as its your money .. ! Also you cant live map cars after 1999 on the o.e management. The ECU's checksum wont let you..

Lot of BS out there to try and get your money .

Yeah I think a normal remap is often perceived wrong, as lets face it the service is installing the correct 'update' maps for your car based on your goals. Keep in mind that you can get maps for economy as well as power, or somewhere in between. Unless theres something radically different about your car and setup, I don't see how a live custom map would yield anything so much better than it would justify the increase and cost.

I take comfort in the same thing that makes you feel a wee bit cheated - brands and persons get reputation as more and more people experience the updated maps they're ultimately supplying. A bad rep will destroy them quickly, whereas common good feedback is a sign that the maps involved have had a lot of thought put into them.

I'd rather have a map thats been proven installed in my car, written by people who know exactly what they're doing, and take all factors on board.
