BMW M3 E36 S50B32 fitted the AEM FIC8 piggyback - all fine except I need to resolve the usual injector faults problem... Does anyone know what resistors are needed for this fix?
Possibly.
I think it has figured out it isn't in control of the injectors. If it is purely down to resistance, you can measure the impedance of an injector, then measure it at the loom with the piggy back included and see if there is a difference there.
Do you know any of the code numbers from the faults?
Here are the codes - interesting they're only on cyls 1 - 2 - 3 and 4...
I am guessing that they come up following the firing order and then when the engine runs its does not need to kick out for cyls 5 and 6??
Earlier fault logs show the errors at different rpms.
Thanks for the help.

Hmm, OK, it's got them pretty quick, at low revs, so it is obvious to the ECU that something is up, but unfortunately the codes aren't able to give a full description.
Older 8bit ECUs only had slots for 255 different possible errors, so anything it can't go in to too much detail on the exact cause.
TheEnd - I get what you meant in your first post!!
The FIC drives the injectors...and no longer the Siemens ECU...
So no current/ open circuit (signal to the FIC only) so the ECU assumes there are problems with the injectors or supplies...
So the solution may be to fit resistors between the ECU Signal and Ground wires to simulate an 'injector'.
The fic then takes care of itself and the actual injectors...
You should be OK with them, I've got it listed as 15.9 Ohms. I'm not sure of the power, but I = V/R, so they are about 1 watt each.
