Think I'm in the right bit lol

My 320td compact has a rev limit on at 4500revs. Can these be removed?

why would you want to remove it, its there for a reason plus in a diesel its not worth it as its already done all its best work by then. Unless you're changing the turbo for something that puts its power out further up the range then it isnt worth it, plus to get a diesel to rev over 5k is pretty expensive.

You need a petrol engine then!

I didn't like the diesels I test drove because of this reason! It frustrates me not going high up into the revs, many people don't understand that they have to be driven differently to a petrol.

Takes abit of getting use to. I use to have Astra Coupe Turbo with 280BHP and going from that to my 320td Compact was abit odd but its a diesel and i get alot more MPG than i use to.
