    Hiya,

Has anyone got any experiance with Remus systems? I have been recommended this one to use by M Style for my 135i M Sport Convertible.

My preference was for something from BMW if possible but I didn't want something too loud and more along the lines of standard as I had a Miltek on my FN2 Type R and it was too loud, it gave me and everyone that was in the car a sore head.

I know that the twin pipes on the 135i are the same to my 330ci for which only one side is open until you open the car up (which is most of the time) so I'm thinking should I stray from BMW and get an aftermarket system which will not have this feature or even better, go for custom built system with a single tail pipe along the lines of the 118?

Car is debadged and that could cause some fun - to be fair it already does

You wont go wrong with a Remus system! i had one prevouisly fitted to my Bora v5 and it had been on for 6 years and still look good as new when i sold the car! They are not loud at all and gives a very nice deepish tone...

Cheers, I have been told that they are very, very good and overlooked due to the fact they are not widely known. I believe the note is supposed to be deep and thats something I don't want to lose by changing systems, but I need to start modding the car.

I've always been into modding from my first Cooper S, but the FN2 took it to a whole new level and didn't my bank balance know it!

Remus has been around for years, since i was driving! The best people to speak to are elite direct which are the main suppliers of Remus uk. If you want loud then it will have to be something like powerflow or exhaust uk.. which can make your car sound like a saxo with no air filter!

You have a top qaulity car so its best to go for a top branded exhaust.

God I don't want loud - I f***ing hated the non resonated system on My Type R by Miltek. Remus seem to have the system I am after so I think that might be this weeks purchase.

To be fair you don't buy a 6 cyclinder and then ruin it with a loud exhaust. I was considering buying a 2004 M3 before I plonked for the 135 and the thing that swayed me away from it was the fact the guy who had owned it had a custom built exhaust system which sounded terrible! Just a waste of a car

i recently went into the AC Schnitzer UK main dealer near kings lynn to enquire about bushes,we got onto the subject of exhausts and the guy said they offer Remus as an alternative to ACS where the model range is no longer supported (e36),that's a good enough endorsement in itself! i used to have a Remus system on a Golf GTi,sounded excellent without being overdone and fitted the car as well as an OEM system did

What about the new BMW Performance Exhaust? No idea how much they are but they're supposed to sound really good (especially with the new carbon air intake). They look nice as well -quite subtle and similar pipes to the E46 M3 (only 2 not for).
