    im looking to get my car mapped but have been told that the standerd turbo dont like it being vv turbos. just wondering if any one has had there car mapped and had any trouble with the turbos blowing.

    A remap will put some additional strain on components but Turbos are a consumable part and so can fail at various mileages, lack of good maintenance will do far more damage than a remap.
    Mines still going strong nearly 30k after a mild map, ensure the oil separator is the all plastic vortex design, 7-8k oil & filter changes coupled with sensible warming up and cooling down
    driving techniques will help keep the Turbo in good working condition.

    cars only dun 80k and full service history from bmw what sort of gain can i achieve on a remap ?

    I've seen up to 212bhp with a decat pipe, and that was still nice and clean.

    Normally I'd say 185-190bhp is a decent figure, but it's all variable, it depends on what you're aiming for.
