Ok Got my Z3 1999 1.9l, I love it and itsa my first BMW. When I bought it it was fully serviced from the garage I bought it from. Not a BMW dealer.
However upon starting the engine it seems to have what I can only describe as a pause in revs after the revs have come down. you can feel it in the car as an absence of noise.

Now for the question can I take it to a BMW dealer and have them look at it???? or is my vehicle too old. And can anyone tell me if this is normal and if not what do you think it is??

Sorry for being a total Tube but I know nothing about cars!

    Cheers Dean,

It sounds to me like low fuel rail pressure, or more likely a split hose to the idle control valve.
Check that the small vacuum hose is still on the fuel pressure regulator and check for cracks in the rubber hoses around the intake manifold, specifically to/from the idle control valve.
I might be wrong, but it's a good place to start...
