I think it makes more difference on the diesel as it's much cleaner and has less bio crap in it. The car must sense the better fuel as the mileage to the fuel filter change has gone up or is this just coincidence?

V-Power ALL the way! Makes mine run smoother than before I don’t like using Tesco 99. Tried it and it wasn’t a smooth feeling or that’s just me being a snob.

Not to sure on BP's it did run nicer than the Tesco!

Whatever fuel you use, please, please stay away from Morrisons unleaded. Honestly, I'd rather walk.

    David.
I can also confirm this to be true. I run mine on V-Power and so did the previous owner of 2 years and 40k. Had the EGR off yesterday and it was amazingly clean inside. If that's an indication of what the rest of the engine internals are like then the fuel is well worth every penny just for that alone. Usually on diesels of this mileage there is 5-10mm of carbon gunge in the EGR pipe. The internal cleanliness probably explains why I get low to mid 40s mpg locally and 50+ on motorways averaging 85-90mph.

    V-Power FTW!
