    Hi all!
Last year I had to do an engine swap after managing to melt the block.....good work.... anyway, the fresh engine went in fine and runs well, the only issue is the noisy tappets, Am I right in thinking they are self adjusting? The problem only occurs once the engine is up to working temperature. I have been told that an engine flush and oil change may cure this, others have told me that they need replacing.the engine has done around 100k... any advise will be a great help I really want to get this sorted to have it running sweet again, i have great plans for the car over the next 24 months....

Running a good quality oil of full synthetic 10w/40 or 10/30 might help but they are well known for it

Have your cam position sensor checked on a good diagnostics machine. A duff sensor makes number 5 injector tick very loudly.
