    Hi Every one some good new iv just bought a 2.8i engine kit for my compact so hopefully will be a big power gain.im so excited. i have 2 tell people.

    its from B33M3R R33D3M3R in bristol its got 96k out of an auto comes with parts. i paid 550 for the beast.still alot of work and thought to go into the project as i want it to be spot on.ill update pics on my albums.when any work has been done.it hasnt quite sunk in yet.

    Interesting, I may be about to have to do the same, and was thinking of a 2.8. My cylinder head is away getting tested, they reckon it may be cracked and that if it is, I'd be better dropping a new engine into it, so if that is the case, obviously, I'll be looking to capitalise by putting about the biggest possible one in. Would go for a 3L M-Sport one, but with the welding etc. that requires, not worth the extra expense and arseache.

    I've subscribed to this thread to see how you get on. I'm sure we'd both like to hear any advice. Would the 1.9's gearbox be okay with the 2.8?

    thats good to hear!! yeah go for it m8 i did want to do a 3.2 evo conversion but the price is alot more. yeh any advice would be good.thanks
