    Hi guys,

I have recent purchased a 2010, 318i 2.0, M-Sport (144 Bhp) with Auto transmission and i would like to make some minor modification such as Induction kit or remapping to make it slightly faster.

Since my car doesn't have a Turbo remapping will only make it gain an extra 18bhp.
Is that worth the money? is there anything els i can do such as exhaust or something like that.

Any thoughts and recommendatio will be greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Armin

gone are the days when car manufactures exhaust were rubbish and fitting a after market one would give a 10 bhp increase
these days you are lucky to gain 1-2 bhp if any at all a remap really is your only option

Buy a private reg haha that's a bit random considering he wants performance upgrades and Armin the question is how much money have you got to splash out and how much more bhp you want? Depending on the reason you brought the 318 rather than a 320 upwards like goldbcfc said you should of got a 320 or upwards BUT if there's a reason like insurance wouldn't insure you or what ever basically your going to need to spend quite a bit of money to get it really fast specially it being such a new car there a lot more expensive and involved than an older car, I don't know a lot about beamers but if you say what your budget is and how much bhp you want I'm shore someone on here will be able to shed a bit more light on your question

If your looking at big gains your talking supercharging 2k hardly worth it when you could spend that buying a true performance car not a car for its badge...lol

Remaps are about £250 if you want one id rather spend £250 on a private reg you can keep for life than a 10 bhp gain and less mpg

Well the Clio was my first car which was fine because it makes sense to get a crap car as a first the golf was actually a smart clean car not an old one, the mg was a clean 05 plate so at the time was pretty new and it was standard face lift model which wasn't modified like a boy racers car (none of my cars have been modified like boy racer style) the first 106 I admit was a shi#*er then the truck was for work and the last 106 gti I had was a fun car very low mileage not bodged up and was actually a good little car so no they weren't scrapers and yes I have spent a lot of money but it's all part of a learning curve and loving cars I'm young and was very young when I had them other cars and was just having fun, from the replies I have seen from you makes me think your a stuck up tw*t that thinks everyone else should have the car you have if you want to start going on about fast cars then really and truly your cars no good either compared to millions of cars out there so don't think your anything special (sorry about going of topic people
