StK, if they have an ECU they can be re-mapped, surely? As far as I am aware anything with a chip/processor/computer that controls the air/fuel ratio and timing can be re-mapped with the correct knowledge and software

Well most people tend to say after remaps/chips that although the actual extra bhp isn't high it increases throttle response and revs smoother and sometimes mpg gets better which is always a bonus with these fuel prices
RWD, fast and cheap!? It's got to be a BMW!

    The 325i e36 will need a chip.

    Evolve do one http://www.evo-s.co.uk/shop/index.ph...3100_3101_3251.

You could also try Emaps http://www.e-maps.co.uk/products/BMW/3+Series+(e36)+/.

    Otherwise look here http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...gyback-t13785/

What you need to remember is just because it has a ECU doesn't mean it can be remapped, if the memory chip is read only then it can't be reprogrammed(remapped).

Also I've moved this to the tuning section

I should imagine that Evolve should be quite competitive. I know they chip E30's for a reasonable price so hopefully they will do something for the E36. They are also highly recommended.

I also think that Emaps should be able to point you in the direction of someone who can chip the E36 though he may very well be able to burn the chips himself.

If none of those pan out try this guy: http://www.fastbimmer.co.uk/performance.html
