    hi guys.

anybody heard of this before? was down the pub the other night and a friend of mine with an elise said this is a good way of getting more power from the 6cylinder e46 engines.

im new to the bmw scene and hes a fairly clued up guy and not the sort to give it the usual pub bullsh*t chat.

can anyone confirm this is actually true? and if so what gains can somebody expect and is it worth just doing this mod or is it only worth doing with say a dave f induction kit and a remap?

    cheers guys

Induction kit and a remap , Reducing back pressure is not all that good on N/A vehicle if it was a turbo vehicle you would expect to see a good gain, One of my client's has a new evo FQ whatever it is just from removing the cats he gained 22BHP and 34NM wich is just stupid !

yeah second that...although you shouldnt expect much difference in bhp or torque..a re-map and induction kit(imperative it has a heatshield and can be fitted as far away from the engine as poss!)is the way to go for naturally aspirated engines...my re-map gained me next to nothing in terms of torque or bhp and i removed my simota carbon fibre forced air induction kit as i lost power!!sum off the guys appear too be fan off pipercross panel fiters tho..think a20 rym has a dave f induction kit and a couple off the other regular forum guys too,,so they must be ok!
