think the 3.3 is a s52b32 us m3 block which would make it a iron block then alpina stroke it to a 3.3
and yes think its got LSD
    no its a steptronic
    thanks for your input

    to amos

    how does Water/Methanol injection work?
the b3 has a upgraded 200 cells cats would 100 cell cats make much BHP if not much would prob just get decat pipes made
    thanks for your input

read somewhere that the viscous fan saps power?

has any one had a b3 rolling roaded it says 280BHP but when me and my friend have a dable from 0 we are side by side and does not matter what speed we get up to he has got a e36 m3 evo with 321BHP

    cheers rob

Manual conversion would be best bang for buck. I'm assuming because it is an s52 engine it'll be a lot easier to convert then your average e46. Not knowing anything about the wiring of the 3.3 I do stand to be corrected

It is based on an m52 engine so you should be able to swap the cams from a US e36 m3. I'm unsure if your current cams will be better or not. Will require a tune afterwards to get the most out of it.
Do the 3.3's have an LSD?
I've only ever looked into these engines as I want the crank, pistons, and intake.
Out of interest is it an iron block or an alloy one?
Getting more power without forced induction might be a bit of task
Under drive pulleys and removing the viscous fan are hardly noticeable.
The cams are the M54 Schrick items. The block is based on the M50 and made of iron. The intake is based around the M52 with the cast Alpina intake manifold.

I really can't see many ways of getting genuine worthwhile power gains from this engine unless you go for a supercharger or Nos.

You'd have to go for a 328/330 kit, I doubt you'll find an off the shelf kit.

Ca Automotive might be able to help. They sell kits for most models.
