How long is your commute and what size / type of tank are you going for? One of the negatives of LPG conversions is going to be the tank range, filling every day or two won't be fun.

Mine was a tordial tank in the spare wheel well, the 230 mile range was a PITA although there's plenty of places to fill.

On the plus side, the petrol + LPG range will rival a diesels.

I do 100 miles each way. So 200 a day, at the moment I fill up every day I commute anyway so I'll continue to go to the same garage but just use the Auto Gas pump instead. There are at least 4 garages on the route that I know of that sell LPG so I'm not likely to run into supply problems.

I've asked for as big a tank as possible to fit in the spare wheel well, I've read that you can get a 70l tank in at a squeeze but I'm assuming on huge day they will say it will need to be 6xl

Insurance went up by £1 a year.
I've read that car tax decreases by£20 per year but I'll see about that.

I had a 70l tank in my E36. I presume you know that you'll only get a 80% fill? Also pick the filler location carefully, I had mine in the bumper, crouching to fit the nozzle was another pain!

Yep, knew about the 80% fill, in all honesty, I fill up every day anyway at the moment so all it means is using a different pump in the same garage. So long as the range in the rank is 200 miles then thats all I really need, but it's sensuble to go for the biggest tank hat will fit. I have thought about the placement of fill location, although not mentioned it to the garage yet. If I think they really know what they are doing and they are willing I'd like it to he left of the petrol tank flap in the body work (I reckon most put it on the plastic bumper as it's easier to cut the hole)

To be exact I put in 30l a day. I do it each day as if I did it every other day then I'd be getting very low (can't remember the tank capacity but it must be 63-67l I guess). I could do 1.5 trips between full ups but that means I'd have to use the petrol station at home which is is 5p a litre more expensive then in London.
