i don't like k+n, had them on many cars i have bought, and quicky replaced them. Most k+ns i've experianced have taken away a few hoses. The only thing they seem to do is make that daft borp noise that boy racers constantly have. Even seen power charts on different airfilters showing the k+ns under perform on everyday cars. I vote pipercross panel filter.

I have looked into this and everyone seems to say the make thing dont buy a K&N because they are over oiled and they cause your MAF to pack in. so im going to buy a pipercross when i goet some cash

ITG and Green Cotton filters have been highly recommended but a a few quid more than Pipercross.

I fitted a Pipercross to my Mini and it definitely made a bit of a difference - when I took it out, that's when I realised how much better it was than the standard paper jobbie.

    Hi
I have just bought a K&N 57i kit which I have fitted to my 99 auto 323. this runs ok for about 20 minutes then all of a sudden the eml and asc lights come on and the car starts to struggle, when I put the old bmw one back on everything’s ok, I was told that the K&N filter should work anybody got any ideas why this is not working ???

Did you buy an induction kit or just the panel filter?
