    Right, been looking at this.
    GREEN Induction Kit BMW Series 3 E36 328i & Coupe 193bhp 95>99 | eBay

it says that heat sheilds can be bought from them seperately so i have asked how much it would cost for the kit and heatsheild together. Just waiting for a reply now.

doesn't seem to be any sorts of Dave f or simota kits around atm and have heard that green kits are rated well.

im not going to put a kit on unless i can get a heatsheild with it, i did consider making one but then ive got to find the time to do that...

Green cotton are very good from what I have heard. In regard to your heat shield, you could shop around for one specific to your car before deciding to buy one off the company you have posted a link to. Just an option to maybe get one cheaper?

    RIGHT.
got my green kit a few days ago and got around to fitting it today
the cone is massive and sounds great!
The heatshield isn't quite what i expected but it will do for now untill i can get around to making a better one. unless it doesn't give me any problems ^^

That is a big cone! I would try to get some piping to extend the filter closer to your intake snorkel for a better and more direct cold feed, this will also give more benefit from the heat shield as it is further from the engine and heat soak.

that heatshield you might as well chuck away as its no good

buy a heatshield off gunner1(bill)off here as per my link and it will be miles better
