    Hi all,

Been a member of this forum for awhile but I believe this is my first thread.

So I have an E46 330d 184Bhp. I'm considering getting the Iflash remap from Ecotunes which I know are highly recommended on here. However, i know general consensus has always been to stay away from a generic remap which I believe is what the Iflash is. I.e. It puts the same map onto every 330d e46.

Are there any real concerns in doing this or just myth, or will I best off getting a custom remap through for example Simon from I believe E-maps or something ( again highly recommended on here).

If its any difference my car is currently on 104k live in the Hampshire Area.

I must say however, the concept of the Iflash remap does interest me purely as I could change the map from Eco mode to performance mode should thje mood see fit or i go on a long old motorway road trip.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

IMO always better off with custom map, takes into account wear and tolerances on your engine, as opposed to one size fits all.

As above go a map that takes in to account the age and mods of the car.. A generic map is someone's tune. Not yours. !

Also go somewhere that you can have a drive first before you pay see what you think etc..
    Thanks Mike

    I know stan very well
He does a good job and makes his our tuned file
We use and have been supplying the same Flasher tool since it was made

our remap is made from the read taken from the car using the Flasher tool

I would recommend going to a tuner that is well know who makes his own Remaps files or one of his dealers

Always ask who is making your remap file for your car and ask to speak to the file writer
If the tuner/dealer can not tell you who the file writer is then he has some think to hide
