Do what 17 year olds do and put massive wheels on, a whistler for your exhaust and a k&n induction kit. Oh, and don't forget the padded covers for the seat belts.

You can keep up with anything now!

Having owned one, I'd say Top Gear was wrong (and not for the first time). In fact 5th gear had the 3.0 Z4 beating the similarly specced Coxter S around their test track

NO2, otherwise known as nitrous oxide. Yes, there is a stigma attached to it from the Fast and Furious film franchise (great alliteration there dontcha think? ) but if you want to scare your mate without spending big bucks, its your only option.

I'm a newbie to this forum but not to cars (see my intro post) but basically, he's putting out about 240bhp and you have what? 170bhp? So, a 100bhp shot with a progressive controller to stop you having an intimate moment with a hedge should be plenty without destroying your engine. Plus points are £500 should get you ready to roll, negative points are that its short lived, you'll need self control to not use it all the time, and lastly, some people may take the p*ss "cos you got naarrrzzzz"

Simple, cheap and barbaric. But you will blow him into the weeds.

    Mat

P.s anyone running oil burners will be pleased to know that you get even bigger power gains in diesels using nitrous than petrol cars
