    can any one tell me how much i can lower my 318i 95 on standard schocks without doing any damage? i would like to lower it by 60 but is that to much? ta

    You could lower it that much on the shocks but it would knacker them out quicker/eventually. Plus you won't get the full benefit if you don't do the shocks, just the look.

    The shocks will die fast with a 60mm drop!

    Rickyg23, firstly welcome to the forum.

    The ideal drop on standard shocks is 40mm. Any lower than this requires the addition of shortened shocks.

    I personally would advise you to go for a suspension kit which includes the four springs and shortened shocks. Before I swapped for coilovers I was using the G-Max sports suspension kit... I loved it, awesome drop 60mm and great ride

    I'd go for Eibach Pro's. 40mm drop and will work fine with the standard shocks.

    Bilstein do a cheap kit called the Streetline kit for about £200 (IIRC).
