Im guessing this has been asking 1000 times before are there any worthwile free mods? Ive just removed all the baffles from the air box. Lucky really as the top one had started to break up so it would have started to get sucked up into the engine.
Also the top of the airbox has an extra box coming off of it? Whats this for?

Its an e36 compact 1.9 2000reg with the plastic manifold.

i wouldn't mess about too much with a bmw air box they know what they are doing. As for free mods the best one is get some weight of the car this will help performance.

Removing any intake restriction is beneficial

Does your car have the clutch valve thingy? Sorry my brain is not working yet (too early) but I'm talking about the valve that restricts the clutch from being dumped so u can't wheel spin.

Dont know mate? Remove restrictions in the air intake and it seems to respond very well.
