Well ive had my new k/n induction kit for a few weeks now and my heatshield off bill since santa pod so seeing as its mot time tue and im finishing any work needed today i thought id give it a bash but havent had time to actually bolt it down properly yet due to the heavens opening but it aint moving anywhere due to the tight fit so no rush.

kit comprises of a giant k/n filter off forum members suttons old heavily modified punto turbo with a hks adapter joining on to a 85 mm rubber adapter onto the maf, needed a clean up with some oil and to be honest a bit battered but works really well once i blew the crap out of it with an airline

gunner1 heatshield(bill)with 80mm diameter hole(sorry bill i had to cut mine up a bit and bend it as the hks adapter on the airfilter wouldnt fit)as its massive and much bigger than it looks in the pics

ran a cold air feed from behind the lower mesh but hidden and joined it to a pipe feeding cold air just before the airfilter(kept this small due to mass of wires with hids/ccfls etc and wasnt much room left.

took it for a spin and my god what a difference it makes and the car just pulls and pulls so much better and the noise is incredible(dave -f kit pah)and definitely recommend it for anyone else.

i ran it without the heatshield and yes it was good but with it its turned into an snarling beast and and just need a new exhaust to compliment it now

will try to get a video at some point of it in full flow as its mental sound wise now and mega thanks to bill for a brilliant piece of kit

    cheers andy

They both good.Dave's has a bit more insulation on it and is quite bit lighter too but at the end of the day they both do the same job which is to stop the filter sucking hot air into the engine,Dave's kit includes the filter too and a cold air feed pipe Also it is very rare to find a Dave F kit anymore.I got the last group buy organised and Bry(Dave's brother) said that's it they're not going to do it again.....
