I can understand the logic behind it, but has anyone tried it here? anyone recommend it? seems pretty cheap to buy. If you have used it please state what you wrapped i.e down pipe/manifold and any results, thanks

It's usually used in Turbo applications.... But I was going to attempt it on mine while it's off the road from the manifold to the cats, just to try to get a couple more pops on the overrun

Whether this will work as I intend, I don't know - But, I will hopefully know soon enough

Usually on turbo engines it does good, it's main purpous is to keep heat in the exhaust to keep gas pressure up, more preasure CAN help with more power
318is M3 Rep project with some extra power : M3 LTW's, M-tec boot badge, rear window spoiler, Black kidney grills, smoiked fogs and indicators

Still to get: BBTB, Catback magnex, Decat, Apex RDX coilovers, M3 mirrors, H.I.D's, Remap

Just seen your specs now, didn't realise yours was a TDS..... Yes, give it a bash, turbo downwards, let us know the results.

As you said yourself, it's not exactly expensive stuff
