    Hi all,

New to this forum etc and also BMW.

I was wondering if anyone has re-mapped/tuned an 2007 e92 and is so what sort of results are we talking?

Mine is the 232 bhp so any figures would be very much appreciated.

    CAR's:

    2007 BMW 330D M-Sport (e92) (re-mapped from 244 bhp - 286 / 481 ft-lbs) -

    2002 VW Golf (mk4) (re-mapped from 100bhp - 155)

    ----------------------------------
    Bike's:

    2001 Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 - remapped to 113 bhp

    1999 Honda RVF 400 - SOLD (tempermenatal wee s***)

Your normally looking at around 40 BHP and 75lbs/ft torque extra as long as you don't go mad. Anything more is risky as it puts a strain on the gearbox. Check out the forum vendors they all have excellent reps. I can personally recommend Jason.

    Thanks for the reply petrolmarty.

Ok, I have been looking about and seem some near and @ the 300bhp range but majority seem to be in round 290 ish which i wouldn't mind.

I live in NI and there a local tuner iv been o before for my VW Golf and totally transformed it which approx. 55% increase.

Was just wanting to know what others may have done and what else along with a remap they may have done and what figures they have achieved.

It's not so much the bhp you have to worry about, it's the Torque, they already have around 500n of torque and if you go up to 290-300, your probably end up with 625n which is likely to chew your gearbox to bits.

Is it an auto or manual?

I'd be very nervous with a manual if I'm honest, as it'll take an iron will not to melt it Trust me

@petrolmarty - Aye iv looked at the torque figures which are around 360 lb/ft but unsure wot remap wot increase it by mabye 80 lb-ft, needa ask the tuner.

@cforehead - Yea its a manual, i wudnt be looking silly torque figures prob jus a remap to smooth it out an add a bit more tbh along with more mpg as far as im aware from what iv seen an heard the manuals are "SAFE" to around 700nm an any more would be pushin it really.

Yes, I suppose it's more clutch than gearbox that I'd be concerned about

Aye ano but even at that it should be too bad for the clutch area as long as its nothing too extreme and driven sensibly 'ish lol
