Just wondering if the cams from the e46 m3 fit the m54b30 head?

    Cheers

It isn't something I have heard about, so it's unlikely.

    Thanks TheEnd,

I agree, It's not something that there seems to be much information available for. But I didn't know whether that it was because you CAN'T do it or because no one has tried. If they did fit then at least it would give some alternative to the schrick cams i've seen about.

I know that the S54 engine is supposed to be 'based' on the M54 but there is obviously a few big differences (the cams being one of them).

If no one has tried then how do you know it's "10hp"? I can't see the .2 increased displacement and the individual throttle bodies alone making over 100hp difference over a stock 330 engine.. The cam profile on the M3 allows for much more power up top, where as the stock cam profile means it's out of puff before 7krpm..

'IF' the M3 cams fitted, then some uprated rod bolts and a proper RR remap, with an increased rev limit it should make considerably more than 10hp.. in theory.

their would be loads of people gaining 100bhp with swapping cams and remap if it was possible plus wouldnt you need to change clutch and gearbox too seems costly when M3's go for not much more than 330's these days probably can be done but i think supercharging your 330 is money better spent watch this 330 destroy that M3
