Ok so I've been reading on here a lot about remapping everyone's cars.
Bw tuning seem to be very good.
    Iv recently bought a 2005 e46 330ci, it's completely standard.
I would be interested to get it mapped, but I would like to know.
Would it end up do any damage to the engine or the car not last as long with a map?
Is there anything I should do to the car beforehand?
I'm a bit old fashioned in the sense don't play with a car and it won't go wrong,
Don't get me wrong I service the car often (every year) I even put a pipercross panel filter in, not so much for performance just for more cleaner air delivery and iridium plugs and decent oil.
So would mapping make a huge difference to standard car or would I have to put performance parts on aswel?

Being a N/A car there worth tuning, just dont expect big gains in power.. We do a good number of them, there nice to map and respond well to improved drive and loss of flat spots..
We offer a try before you buy with 14 days money back too if your not 100% happy.. ! Cost is £200.00

    Thanks
    Thanks Mike

BW chiptune are the ones for this car some maps from others can be very disappointing. As for preparation a good service and check that everything is up to scratch are the required prepartion. as for damage the gains aren't so great as to stress the engine enough to make a big difference assuming the map is done by an experienced tuner.

bw remap on mine, had it on for five months now and no problems, only the desire to plant the throttle too much.
throttle response is up and on the aggressive map it's no worse on fuel, sometimes better.
the eco map is much better on fuel, but feels a little slower to respond to throttle changes.
both maps are better than standard map though, extra power is there, just a shame there is still a limit to the internals as even on limiter it seems to want to keep pulling.

Is it a noticeable difference once mapped?

Here are just a few 330i we have mapped on the dyno in the last month or so

Before I went to I went to Barbados to tune 2 m3s for the sol 2013 rally Barbados

I tuned 330ci for fast road/track use fitted with simota cai kit which made 257 bhp on the dyno dynamics rolling road

My advice to anyone wanting to remap there 330i is to take it to a tuner who makes there own Remaps in house that can prove the gains on a dyno there and then if needed

Do your research 1st on who gets proven gains that are tested

Make sure the tuner you take your car to makes his own mod files or buys from a tuner writer that is well know ask for the tuners writers phone number so you can speak to who is making your file

If the remap is cheap ask your self why is it so cheap
We have spent over £19,000 this year alone just on up dates for tuning cars

If you get the bottom end fitted with stronger big end bolts I can raise the limiter more for you
