Hi guys - Just a quick one!

Can anyone help me with tuning my newly purchased 330ci. The car is absolutely standard and has only done 57,000 with a FBMWSH, so is a pretty good canvas to start on. I don't wanna go mad with superchargers etc just sutble mods. What are the potential gains & cost of a decent air filter, exhaust and remap??? thanks for your help.

Theres not a hugh ammount you can do to the 330, even a remap doesn't produce much, i had mine done mainly to smooth things out through the revs and increase torque at lower revs. The only thing that can be done is a decat but then you will have to recat again for the mot.

Edit... 1 thing to check is see if both outlets are working on the exhaust, as 1 has a flap inside that can get stuck closed

Morning, the 330 is quite difficult to tune to big figs unless you SC or turbo it, mine's only pushing around 250bhp with the mods in my sig, but the drive is soo much better.

On the decat front, you can remove the 2 rear cats with no probs, I have and it flew thro the MOT, and no lights on the dash.

Hi there, As you're only in Essex why not pop over to me or I can come to you. As already stated, there isn't going to be big BHP gains on the 330i but the response is better and the drive is smoother.
My number is 07930410102 if you wish to call me.

Just got myself a 330 as well

Just wondering really will just changing air filter and exhaust make any difference on their own? or will they really need a remap.

Would be nice to add some noise to the lovely straight 6, too quiet hehehe

Revo... Check both rear outlets are working, right side has a flap which gets jammed, sound is much better when both are working

If you look into the exhaust you can see the flap

I checked the flap, with the engine off its pointing straight down and isnt closed or blocking the pipe.

    I guess this OK then?

Of course a decent exhaust will help a little but from what most people say and what I have seen from figures on the dyno you'd be best to replace the standard air filter with just an upgraded version, i.e leave the standard air box in place. And stay away from any oiled filters.
