    hi guys
i have seen a lot of ideas off more power, but whats the best on the 328 engine i know it is limited as it only have 1 more hp than the 325, i want a litle more power but only as much as the old engine can take with out breaking, :-)
im gonna put the engine in a e46 320i from 1999 150 bhp, the 328i is also a 1999 model,
i can see some people want me to change the title i dont know how to do that,,??
    Ricky,,

IIRC, like the e36 328s they have an inlet manifold with fairly small inlet ports which restricts power.

Maybe the inlet man form a 330 will fit??

As Ferret says above, title your threads properly. We can't help as your car details say you have a 2002 320i?!?!
In any case I've moved it to tuning as it's not a technical problem.

i thought the e46's couldn't take the 325 manifold something to do with the vanos?
either way the answer is buy a 330 really they are so cheap now and a better car in other ways too.

You need the manifold from an e36 325, that supposed to give an e36 328 a power gain of 20bhp to 25bhp

True, but only on the E36. The E46 cannot do this, not aware of any semi-easy mods like this returning those sorts of gains.

I am - it's a 330i M54 inlet manifold, for which you'll need an adapter plate to fit the 328i M52Tu throttle body. Remap it afterwards, job's a good un - allegedly 210-215bhp to be had (in total, not extra).

If only we knew what model the OP was actually talking about
