Hey everyone iv had my e46 320td for about 6 months now and the turbo lag is getting quite annoying now, so once I have sorted the thermostat and removed the cat's I was looking to get it remapped (professionally) I was just wondering if its possible to get a cable to backup and write to this ecu (if so which 1), just incase I ever need to re flash either the standard or modified map. But I have no intention of modifyong the map myself. Im very confident with mechanical work and computers but even I dont fancy messing with that lol.
P.s its a 2004 model if it makes a difference
Any help given much appreciated so thanks in advance
George
We can remap your car using our BW flasher
This will allow you to read your car, save the original file maps on the tool
You then email me your original maps file
I will then make your tuned file and email it back for you to upload to the flasher unit
You can then upload your tuned or original file to your car any time
The BW flasher will hold 3 files at any time and we can make other tuned or mods like egr delete when needed
BW flasher and mod tuned file made from your cars original read file £395
Thanks for the info, I have always been skeptical of remote remaps though as id prefer the car to be on premesis so the tuner can check everything is ok and make any slight tweeks as required
That's not a problem if you bring the car to me I will check the car over with autologic diagnostics dyno test before and after
As well as monitor the cars responses on the dyno when I tune it
London is a bit far. Im 30 miles outside edinburgh lol, there is a few remap specialists around my area so will be getting done up here.. Is there a cable interface I can use with my laptop to make a backup before and after modding? Had a mapped car crap out an ecu before and had to fork out for a second map, I wabt to avoid this in future. Just in case anyone is wondering why I want to lol
Thanks for that will give mpps a try. And I didnt mean the ecu crapped out due to the map it just developed a fault after about a year and a half so had to get new ecu and new map. Thanks for the advice though guys
Ive just remapped my car 136 hp version with mpps to 165 cp everyting working like a charm, i feel much power enen if still having an issue with needle sensor from 4rd injector. It takes 5 minutes but you have to find a good map as i did, from a profesional remaping company
Any decent professional tuning company that has spent there time testing there own tuning will not supply you with there best work if you are using copy equipment
I bought a tested map on over 30 cars modified by engeneers who knows what they do and i just remapped it with mpps. You dont need expensive tools to perform flash function because there its just a nonvolatile memory more simple than a phone memory for example.
I am happy with this map even if i have a faulty needle motion sensor .and sometimes i feel powerloss, but im gonna change it to enjoy the full features. I have a friend with the same map and without technical issues..and i can say that a vwpassat 2.5 tdi is slower than this 'update'.
Wow. Happy with a car that suffers from powerloss. Most good companies won't support you with good files if you use china tools as it's what is damaging the industry, not just taking customers from them. People change a 6-10 maps, overstate bhp and torque figures, jobs a good one. Not.
It's easy to make more power from most diesel ecu's(by cheating), the tricky part is doing it the right way, making good smooth power that pulls harder for longer, without smoking or blowing turbos.
Bwchiptune doesn't just sell bluefin things they are his proven maps on it. It's allot safer buying from someone than can not only map cars but also develop new hardware.
