I'm happily a new owner of a BMW (one advantage of getting older )
But on the sport model the only thing in my view letting the look down is the downward facing exhaust pipe.

Now I have read about full exhaust sytems for this model not increasing power significantly (even though they cost a fortune).
I have also seen alot of posts about fitting a straight pipe from the second cat and choosing an exhaust tip of your choice.

    1) Is this ok for the car

    2) is it way to noisy

    3) Will it pass its MOT

I understand this has probably been done before but better to be sure than to do it and ruin a fully functioning car.

    Many thanks.

You want to look at getting a backbox, but a straight through pipe isn't as noisy as a petrol. I've seen threads on other forums about will a de-cat pass mot and they have. Apprently they do smoke tests rather than emission. As me I'm just going to powerflow exhausts and getting a cat back system.

Your model has no Dpf fitted so if you put a straight pipe exhaust pipe on the car you will get soot covering the back of the car
The best way to get power from these 320d is the remap them
