Can someone expand on my thoughts of either installing a Pipercross Velocity Intake System or a Viper Kit over one of their standard swap panel filters.

Would I really see the benefit in low/mid rev pick up and cold the increase airflow play havok with the engine management. I'm looking into a re-map to so would this 'reset' the engine management to expect and take into account the increase in air?

i have a similar setup, piping from air flow meter to just behind the bumper with a twin cone filter on it, feels more tourquey lower down in the revs and always gets cold air.
