My 323 has a standard open diff with 6 bolt output flanges.
I bought a medium case 325/8 LSD. When trying to fit it, the 6 bolt holes don't line up with the 6 holes on the driveshafts. The output flanges on the LSD are slightly larger diameter than the open diff and thus, the bolt holes are slightly further apart aswell.
Why? What differences were there in these medium case diffs? I though the only difference was the M3 input / output flanges with the M3 output being of 8 bolt orientation?
What is the solution? I could change the output flanges over from my open diff, but having already filled and fitted the LSD, i'd really rather not. Can I get 325/8 driveshafts? Will they fit my hubs?
