    hi guys
i am looking into getting a lsd for my e36 318ti being a compact and having a different rear end to the rest of the e36 family
i am getting conflicting stories of what has what in it if that makes sense lol

firstly id like to comfirm that my car has a 3.4 ratio diff ??

also id like to know what has the 3.7 ratio fitted (i.e. e28 ect)

i have been offered a e36 m3 evo diff but i have been told it has a 3.2 ratio which if true would kill the acceleration and i would need to change the casing too

    any advise is welcome

    jon

thanks ronnie must of missed that 1 wile looking though the results lol so id be looking at a mediume case diff. do u no the ratio's of the Zm cars ? or infact the other avalible diff that fit ? i know u mentioned the e28 having a3.45 but what model can that be found in?

i feel that a higher ratio in the ti would make no end of diffrence to its drivabilaty, making it more suited to the nice tight twisty toads in the uk

    The Z3 1.9 16V M44 manual had a 3.45 LSD up until 04/1998.

    The E28 535i had the 3.45 LSD, after 09/1986

Have a look here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do and here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do...&kind=P&arch=1
