afaik schrick are meant to be slightly better but can give a lumpy idle. iirc the schrick cams profile is based on the s52 us m3 cams. The oem ones wont affect the idle and are good for 8-12 hp. But a remap is needed to release this full potential. HTH

Have also heard cat cams being recommended but i cant give you any info on these, might be worth looking into?

USM3 are about 250ish, maby a little more if you can find a set,

the others will be hard to source aswell so you might have to get the others from manufactorers and you'l be paying like 600-700 a set.

as above the nothing will come close to USM3 cams for the money

if you want something wild and you have cash burning a hole in your pocket i would look for sunbelt cams or diablis but you may need to uprate the valve springs

i believe the shricks you get over here are usm3 copies

    Have you looked here? http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...3-cams-t27519/

Have anyone got their stock cams machined to higher spec? I got one spare set for my M52B28 and thought if they could be customized.
may need to uprate the valve springs
Upgraided valve springs are recommended even with s52 Us m3/schrick cams. Few guys have complain about not doing it. Engine is usually given higher revs with new cams so old worn valve springs can´t keep up.
