    Hello all,

Just bought myself a E36 325i, im quite new to this side of the world as i previously owned japs which were very simple when it came to increasing power. I'd like to just quicken mine up just a little, its got just a scorpion backbox and kn filter. De-cat usually does some magic but im starting to think its not possible to just get a De-cat replacement pipe, rather you have to buy the complete exhaust system as ive looked everywhere.

Also were the 325i restricted in any way like the 328's were with the exhaust manifolds?

Finally what sort of power gains would i be expecting with breathing mods and a remap?

    Cheers

BMW stuck the cats in the middle of a large centre section, so there can be a lot to swap.
You could try some cats from a breaker, and cut out the cat bit and get a couple of straight pipes welded in.

The 325s were restricted like the 328s (who had a funny intake manifold, not exhaust) but the 328 exhaust manifolds might be slightly better than the 325 ones.
It might not worth the hassle of trying to get the old one off, and breaking exhaust studs though.

The can be chipped rather than remapped, and they have done well in the past. One done by me, and one by BW Chiptune both got similar powers of about 215bhp, so expect around 210+ and you should be in the right ballpark.

Will definetly give you guys a call for a chip as ive heard good things about you. Just want to get the breathing side sorted first.

    Cheers
