Afternoon bfuk members!
As you may or may not know i have a 325i m50 engine e36 track/ tarmac car, and its awesome fun, no doubt.
But i cant help but get that naggin feeling more power......
The reason i chose the m50 engine is its bombproof really. Its done 190,000 miles and runs just perfect!.
Currently it has been chipped, larger big bore throttle body, an induction kit and scorpion cat back system (which sounds amazing!). The plan is de-cat depending on noise regualtions but i have no other ideas to increase oomph.
US m3 3.0 litre cams? Are they hard to fit, worth the cost?
Bore out to 3.0 litre bottom end? Is this possible and will it effect reliability?
Any other suggestions?
I have about £1500 to spend roughly but it must remain quite reliable as possible for competative reasons. I have a spare engine and could fettle that gas flow head bore out block etc but is it worth it?
