    Ok,

hunting high and low for a 328 exhaust is proving to be a bit boring and time wasted... anyone selling them wants silly money and some advertised as good are in fact not ..

which brings me on to my question, would a E46 M3 exhasut fit .. bar the obvious is there anything prohibiting fitment ??

    Cheers

Yep, the spare wheel well IIRC...
The e46 m3 back box is massive.

No worries. You can get look alike exhausts that will fit but they dont look quite right. Keep your eyes open for a 328i system as sometimes they do come along cheap.....

What do you consider silly money? I found several E36 328i full exhausts for sale in Belgium and the Netherlands around the 300 euro mark. If you ever make a road trip... do you homework first I got mine for 240 euros.

E46 not E36 Mate....E46 looky likey M3 exhausts are silly money. I fitted an E36 M3 back box onto my 325 pipes and it looks great. The E46 M3 exhaust has quad tailpipes though
