That's because Dave F uses K&N filters...he makes up the heat shield and pipe work.

The Dave F kit as mentioned does use the K&N filter however it is easily DOUBLE the size of the one K&N choose to use with their kit.

It gives off a lovely roar, just ask anyone else that is lucky to have one fitted

"SELF EXPECT TO GAIN 15BHP ON 6 CYLINDERS".. and that, on a 320i, with 91 octane and a flat tyre! on a decent 328 it will be at least 50whp!

Gains of 15 BHP have been seen on M3's with a Dave -F.

"20bhp for the M3". the 15 extra bhp are stated for the m50/m52. and i kinda doubt those 15 on a M3 as well. and certainly not a guaranteed number. for m50/m52 engines, i'd say you should be happy with 5-7 extra bhp. really happy. about the M3, last i looked for dyno's before and after CAI mod, gains were less than 10bhp. maybe there was an exceptional one, who gained 15 from a CAI, but i doubt you'll see more of those.

A couple of people on another bmw forum have seen these gains. They were rolling road tested.

seems a bit too much, tbh. i mean, it's just a CAI after all. i can't believe bmw made such a bad engineered air box, which would restrict 15bhp.
