Hi, I got the intercooler in, just about. Just need to get it live remapped now to find out how much power I can squeeze out of her..... Have a problem though...
I have a 1260 pre supply pressure monitoring fault code that keeps flagging up, at about 4000rpm the pressure on the pre supply pump drops to about 3.8bar at its lowest. I've changed the in tank pump, all be it with a second hand pump, which didn't work. I've also changed the fuel filter and the presupply pump is a Bosch 044 which is as fitted about a year ago.
Any ideas on what could be causing it?
Hi guys just quick question i have a 184bhp m57 ,does the m57n engine have a 3 bar map sensor ? as i know the m57 max is 2.5 or where would be good place to buy some 3.5 or 4 bar map sensor i seen some on ebay but it says they are for audi or vw would they fit the bmw m57 ? thanks you
The remapper missed a pre-supply limiter.
M57n map sensor reads to 3.3bar if you change max voltage to 4999mv, it also fits with mild modification to plug.
Clutch is slipping guys, what's your recommendations?
A Single Mass Flywheel set up with a suitable sprung ceramic friction plate
what kind of torque levels will you settle at?
Not sure on torque as I didn't get a live map.
Was looking at this sach kit, seems a bargain!?
If your happy with the kind of power your at then yeah a SACHS or LUK clutch will be suitable, just bed it in properly and ensure the torque delivery is nice and linear.
