Finally got round to getting my 2001 184bhp 5speed 330d Sport remapped and im loving the power increase. only down side is now my clutch has started slipping in most gears around 3k. Car has done 95k and i dont think either the dual mass or clutch have been changed.
Its only the clutch slipping not hearing any rumberling from the dual mass, but as i suspect neither have been changed going to swap both out. (checking paper work from old owners)
Question is is it worth getting an uprated clutch to handle the increase power and torque? Simon at Emaps said the map he put on was the highest he does (aprox 240bhp and 500nm) and when he put it on we didnt notice the clutch slipping and it wasnt smoking much so we decided to have that map put on ( i have emailed him to let him know about the clutch slipping)
So would say a Stage 1 clutch and oem dual mass surfice? or would stage 2 be a really safe option, or would an oem clutch do the trick and sort the problems?
ive seen this clutch kit which seems pretty well priced anyone know if there any good?
