    Hi All,

Jst came accross this site http://www.chipexpress.com/ for diesel models only.. Apparently it improves your fuel consumption etc.. read a testamonial copied from the site below:

“Not very scieintific I know, but have just been to our office and back, mainly motorway, cruise control set... used where possible, journey down with the chip isolated, 68mph average, 46.2mpg at end of journey. Re-installed chip over lunch and return journey was 65mph average and 56.4mpg. Thats 10 miles more per gallon, or 20% less fuel!”

Do you know of anyone who has this installed? If yes, does it really work?

I'm not going to start a debate on whats best and whats not.
Best thing to do is a brim to empty test first without the plug-in box you have, and then with it. This will tell you what your plug-in box is really doing with the MPG. If it's doing what it's supposed to then you're obviously a happy customer of theirs.
Personally I will always go the remap route as many others will. And when you weigh up the costs differences, (presuming you've paid their website price of £395) a remap from any of us forum traders is a LOT cheaper (my price for your car is £275 for forum members)

That's a lot of money for a resistor in a box, and the MPG figures are based on what the car thinks it was doing pre-tuning, it doesn't realise that it is now injecting 20% more fuel, so assumes it is getting great MPGs.

You can gain mpg with a good re-map .. Plug in box's are not the best.. But there very big gains !

120d's may see a max of 5/6 mpg if driven very well and the car is 100% spot on as in tracking etc etc..

Most mapped TDi cars will see 3/4 mpg.
    Thanks Mike
