    Hi guys!
I've looked long and hard for a cheap exhaust system for the xi model of an e46 but there is no such thing as a cheap exhaust that will fit an xi...SO i've decided to cherry bomb her!
Thus, i need to know the size of the tubing of these exhausts, not the muffler tip size, the size of the actual tubing. If it was the muffler tip i would get up and go measure it myself but i don't think the exhaust tip is the same size as the diameter of the tubing...but hey maybe it is! that's why I'm asking.
Thanks everyone...I won't be doing this for a few weeks but when i do would anyone like a video of it? ^.^

Also, i did hear somewhere that it is 2" (so i did research) but i just wanna make sure. and if it IS 2" would i get a 2.25" pipe so i could slip it over my 2" pipe?
+++ does anyone reccomend a place to fit it. It's about 23inches long i hear so where should i cut?

    RealOEM.com * BMW E46 325xi Center and rear muffler

The clamp is showing 2 inches, but you do have 2, so you'd probably need a dual 2inch into anything, then a single silencer on the back.

For what you are doing, you would probably be best just cutting out the centre box and replacing with a straight pipe

Just replace the back box you have with 2 cherry bomb back boxes? side by side.
