So lots of people on forums said it wasn't worth remapping a 316i for such a small power gain, I just had my car remapped by Jason @ BWChiptune and have discovered that all those people could not be more wrong. Before the remap the car would judder pulling away, need lots of revs and I'd have to drop gears to stop it juddering a lot. Now with the toque boosted across the entire rev range it's way smoother, pulls away noticeably harder and can even take off with no gas at all. The juddering when you slow down in third for a turn is all but gone. Obviously a 316i is never going to fly off the line but the overall improvement in the driving experience has made this well worth the money.
I had a pedalbox installed before the remap but now I'm going to send it back as it just seems pointless now. The car is way more fun to drive now with the remap than before just with the pedalbox.
