After my First meet at Bimmerflex i was talking to neal about what else i want to do to my car and i got to be honest a remap didnt really entertain me at the time as the thing is quick enough. I was more thinking of doing some visual upgrades and looking into exhaust sound but a few months on and that all went out the window lol.

Earlier this week i got the beast remapped by Mike at AL Tuning, First of all my car had already been done previously by another owner but there was only a small gain in 10bhp and torque but now all i can say is wow what a difference, the way it lays down the power in mdm mode is unreal.

If anyone is thinking of getting this done then i do recommend mike at AL Tuning.

    here are the dyno results.

It's a very thin line where warranty issues come in to play. But the cars that I have remapped for customers that have warranty still have not reported any problems, and I have even remapped a few cars for some dealers who don't seem to have any issues at all. In fact some manufacturers dealers are even offering remaps themselves these days (even on ford transits!).
Always worth putting in an uprated panel filter if you don't fancy going for a full on induction kit and wanna keep things OEM.
If you fancy a remap on your M5 then give me a shout and I can do you a VERY good price

Ive had my previous 330 and 645( twice) mapped by MIke at Altuning, did a good enough job that I didnt even require a Dyno, it just felt so better. At the end of the day its all in the way car feels.
I have just purchased an M6 about 3 days ago, and already in talk with Mike, he claims to get upto 40 hp out. Will that effect the engine and transmission and in the long run, i really dont know? 40 does seem a little too optimistic i must say.

40bhp it's less than 10% gain, so I would say it's quite realistic IMO.
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.

Yes we have seen near these sort of figures also for stage 2 which means exhaust and induction kit. Stage 1 (just the remap) will see gains of about 30-35bhp and 40-45Nm torque in realistic terms.
Price for this for forum members is £500
