    Hey everyone,

    this is my first post, so if im a little off them let me know.

    in november 2009 i bought a bmw e46 316i se for my second car, and to be honest i have spent a load on it getting it back to its former glory mechanically and im happy with it.

    last week i bought a bmw sports interior to help with the interior and im planning to do up my car with some savings after my first year at uni and once i have another years no claims to help with insurance.

    so im stuck now as to which path to take with it and i have two options and was hoping people could help shed light on my two ideas for it, heres the options:

    option 1:
    Angel eyes as a kit with xneon projector upgrade and brighter bulbs in the fog lights (ca automotive kit)
    LED rear light
    19" CSL style alloys
    M3 style m3 mirrors
    CSL body kit (i have found one on the net and it looks really good)
    CSL style boot lid
    black kidney grills
    new exhaust (m3 if it will fit, if not a twin one for the kit can do either)
    lowering springs (30mm front 25mm back)

    option 2:
    Angel eyes as a kit with xneon projector upgrade and brighter bulbs in the fog lights (ca automotive kit)
    LED rear light
    19" deep dish alloys matt black
    CSL body kit (i have found one on the net and it looks really good)
    black kidney grills
    new exhaust (m3 if it will fit, if not a twin one for the kit can do either)
    lowering springs (30mm front 25mm back)
    matt black wrap by totally dynamic (still unsure if they work or not?)

    Option 3:
    new exhaust (m3 if it will fit, if not a twin one for the kit can do either)
    lowering springs (30mm front 25mm back)
    19" deep dish alloys matt black
    Angel eyes as a kit with xneon projector upgrade and brighter bulbs in the fog lights (ca automotive kit)

    as you can see in my display picture my car is a dark blue at the moment and my neighbour has a m3 csl in grey so that has given me some inspiration.

    hope someone can help shed some light on these mods and wether they are worth it or not and what issues i might encounter.

    thanks

    MAGiK

    I reckon your option four should be:

    * 2005 rear LED lights
    * LED Angels
    * 18" Bayern Mesh wheels
    * 60/40 drop
    * BMW MSport Body Kit that will attach correctly rather than sh1tty replica stuff.
    * Club Sport Rear Spoiler.
    * Carbon BMW badges
    * Debadge other badges.
    * Get a 330 exhaust, modify it to fit yours.

    Would look the kippers tits.

    This aftermarket non BMW sh1te will make your car look crap mate. The CSL rear spoiler wont look right on an E46 that doesnt have the "hips" that an M3 does.

    This would make your car look up to date, low, top spec and tasteful.

    Just my idea.

    ahhh i went out and had a quick look at my car and your right it has pretty awful arches, do you know if it is expensive to get them widened? and do they crack or wear out quickly?

    as for your idea amos, it was acctually my first consideration to do an msport but after driving around for a while i saw so many where i live i just thought there has to be something different so i went CSL.

    as for the kit i will be buying from either CA automotive or somewhere similar, so it will fit correctly.

    another point i have thought about is are Xneon projector lights worth the extra? or are they just a style thing, as i do alot of night driving!

    I have to agree with Amos on that one mate. Rather than plastering your car with CSL stuff which it obviously isn't. I would go the M sport route, I know you see plenty about, but adding genuine M sport kit including the interior you have just purchased you should make some money back if and when you decide to sell it etc...

    I will be doing the same to mine once I have the wedding out of the way!

    Projector HIDs are much better at producing a good / safe beam pattern on the road etc and I should imagine that at some point I will install some. At the moment tho I have normal reflector housings with a 4300k H7R kit installed and it's brilliant, I have spent some time getting them setup correctly, they don't produce glare like normal H7 kits do and i'm more than happy with them at the mo.
    If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

    thanks for the imput adam, i do see what you mean as there isnt much point sticking all this stuff on a saloon =P and the m sport kit does look pretty good tbh.

    and also thanks for the help with the xneon lighting i think ill go straight in for the projectors =D

    just woundering, would m3 panels fit a coupe e46 2000 reg e46?

    Anything will fit anything, but its all about the cost.

    You could get a complete M3 replica if you wanted........but you'd pay through the nose for it.

    Arches Front
    Rear Quarters
    Front Bumper
    Rear Bumper
    Bonnet
    CSL Boot
    Re-Spray
    Suspension to widen track
    Exhaust
    Interior
    Wheels & Tyres

    I reckon you'd see little or no change out of £6000 for that lot.

    Are you not better off having classy and good looking rather than fiberglass and low quality?

    Amos
