hello im a new member and a new bmw owner, I was wondering if a bmw 1992 325i suspension would fit on my 1991 325i bmw if not im struggeling to find 91 version can any one help me
There's big differences! be warned!
91 spec suspension uses dome type topmounts and a roll bar linked to the shock, like on an M3.
You can easily swap the shock and the topmount (both need to match) to the later 9/92 onwards spec, but the roll bar won't have a place to bolt onto.
Some cars could use the 9/92 onwards rollbar and the small links to the control arms, but there was a difference in subframes so it might not be possible.
Decent used M3 shock absorbers and the new topmount bits (topmount, upper spring pad, some washes etc) will allow you to keep your rollbar with the longer droplinks as it is.
I can't be sure if there was a difference there.
What are your front roll bar links like? the 8 inch ones to the shock or the little ones to the control arm?
