    Hi,

    I am buying an e46 330ci sport coupe. I previously had an e36 328.

With the e36, I had the manifold converted to the larger one to replace the restricted 2.8 standard one. This gave a great improvement.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the best engine mods for an e46 330ci sport would be? I have been told that there is no restriction on the inlet manifold and that the best mod would be a remap? Does anyone have any experience or ideas for what the best mods would be for more power/acceleration.

Also does anyone know it the 330ci sport has a limited slip diff fitted as standard?

Any help would be much appreciated,

    Thanks

    Hi James

The sport has an LSD Im pretty sure, yes.
it all comes down to £££.
If you are wanting to spend under a grand, I would say a remap by a good mapper (£350 ish), and a sports exhaust system would be your best bet.

If you want to move up to the next level, you could always buy a turbo kit which will take performance into a new league

thanks for the info. my friend turbo'd his e30 328 and it ended up costing him 1000's! but yes i agree, would be amazingly quick with a turbo if I had an endless budget!

I thought only M cars now had LSD's. Since the early 90's any way.

Hi there, If you decide to go for a remap then I can certainly help you out.
On 330i we normally see gains of around 16-18bhp and 18-22Nm torque along with better throttle response and overall better drivability. These are real gains that some just can't match
