HELLO, I am a brand new member and have a 330 ci se, ive had the car about 4 months and think its a little on the quiet side and wondered if anyone could give me some recommendationsons on a good induction system and exhaust that would let my straight 6 sing!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, JINXTA. CHEERS.

    Welcome Jinx,
I have the Milltek cat back system with custom decat pipes (bottom 2 exhaust cats are now gone), and the Bryf induction kit, and mine rumbles, pops, burbles on slow/idle, then roars very deeply when planted.

The milltek retail around £490, bought mine 2nd hand for £200ish, and the Bryf sell for around £100 on ebay or £170 new.
I reckon with these mods i have gained approx 15-20bhp as removal of a cat gives between 5-8bhp each, milltek around 3-5bhp and Bryf 5bhp(altho they reckon upto 20bhp for the bryf!!), could be more, who knows, it felt alot better once i added these mods...
Cams next, then remap and i should be around 280bhp mark as had it RR in Jan when standard and it was 227bhp i think..

    Hope this helps..

Whats your mileage may I ask and how often is it seviced? Just curious how likely it is for a car to lose power over its life. Thanks

Mine's a 2003 clubsport with 85k on, it gets serviced once a yr, even tho I only do approx 6k a yr. The oil and filter twice a yr, I also use V power on every fill up.

Is it cmmon for a car not to have the horsepower it was meant to have? I.e. a 300bhp shows 270bhp on the rolling road. You are lucky your car was pushing out the bhp is was mant to push out.

Yeah they reckon about 1-2 bhp a yr loss on most cars, so 227bhp on a 6 yr old car isnt bad, especially as i dont know if the last owner looked after it as well as i do..

I heard a porper service would revive the lost power? Or is it once its lost it can never be revived without a rebuild of major components?

I thought the mileage rather than the age would be the major factor of power loss?

Mine is a 53 plate (Oct 2003) 330ci facelift with 79,600 miles on the clock. My car looks like its in a very similiar sitation as yours.
