    whilst my engine is out im going to get rid of the auto box ,just asking what is the best box to use and would a 325 td box fit and work as there is loads of good ones about ,or is it best to get a 325 petrol one with the 325 flywheel ,im going to get it all tomorrow so any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

    What engine have you got? The M50 or M52?

    To convert from auto to manual, you'd need the flywheel, clutch, box and a propshaft to suit.
    The pedalbox / clutch pedal will bolt up fine, and the original clutch hard line/pipe runs round the back of the engine.

    You may need to change the brake reservoir as the clutch hydraulics uses the brake fluid, so it'll want a connection to the reservoir.

    thats great cheers mate ,its an m50 engine 1994 325 ,the warning light has been coming on and going into limp mode so took the chance to convert it whilst its all out ,im going the breakers tomorrow for everything ,so a 325 td e36 will fit is that right mate cheers for replying
